Steam Cleaning is a commonly used carpet cleaning method but it subjects carpet to a whole lot of moisture. Excessive moisture is one reason carpets weaken and buckle. In addition, an air pocket is created when a carpet's backing is separated from its carpet pad. While the carpet's surface eventually will dry, this air pocket may well contain trapped moisture making mold growth possible.

Permanent stains or carpet damage?
As you can imagine, we have seen quite a lot of stains and spills in our 15+ years of cleaning carpets in the Mid-South. However, in all those years only about 5% of the stains we've seen are deemed permanent.
